Bendiest girl in the world smashes third extremely random world record on live TV

The world’s bendiest girl demonstrated her remarkable flexibility live on This Morning, breaking her third world record.

Liberty Barros, 14, opened Friday’s This Morning with an astounding contortionist performance before telling how she stretched her way to world records despite having no flexibility or gymnastic talents as a youngster, but learned to bend her body into inconceivable forms when she was 10 years old.

After describing how she already had two world records, she broke past a third, although in an unusual manner.

Liberty already has the world record for the most flexible backbend manoeuvre, The Liberty Low Down, which was named after her.

Her next goal was to bend into a chest roll and tie her shoelaces as quickly as she could.

And, maybe unsurprisingly, she did it on live television.

Liberty tied her shoelaces in 10 seconds while bending backwards and sliding her face and torso down between her thighs.

After being presented with the world record, she said: ‘I think that’s the fastest I’ve ever done it!’

She added: ‘I’m so excited right now, Guinness World Records is an amazing company, I read something that was like, “Guinness World Records is a love letter to human nature and they’ve been documenting the most incredible world records over decades.

‘So I’m so grateful to get into this book, onto the page, for a third time.’

Viewers were blown away by Liberty’s skills as well as her confidence, with one writing: ‘How confident is this young girl on TV and so flexible!’

Another penned: ‘Liberty is confident and talented. Good for her’.

Someone else wrote: ‘Bless her she’s so sweet!’

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
