Below Deck Mediterranean star Malia White insists she was acting out of concern during her clash with Lexi Wilson (Picture: Bravo)
Below Deck Mediterranean star Malia White has hit back at misconceptions about her clash with Lexi Wilson during their headline-making fight.
The bosun clashed with her season six co-star after they clashed in a hot tub following a wild night out.
When asked about the situation by Andy Cohen on Monday’s Watch What Happen Live, the Bravo star explained that her actions had come from a place of concern.
‘Some people were asking me why didn’t I just leave Lexi alone?’ the 31-year-old began. ‘And for me when I told her to get the F off the deck, it’s because it was a safety concern.’
She continued: ‘Like I’m not gonna leave this drunk girl in this massive hot tub where she could drown.’
‘So yeah, that was nice of me,’ the reality star added with a sarcastic tone.
Lexi made quite the impact on her co-stars, after also kicking off with deckhands Mzi Dempers and Lloyd Spencer in the hot tub.
Others were forced to intervene when things escalated after Malia tried to drain the tub and appeared to turn physical in the crew area afterward.
Courtney Veale, who was the only crew member who had Lexi’s back that night, told Andy: ‘I was definitely shocked to watch it back to see how horrible Lexi was being.
‘And if I hadn’t been so drunk then I probably would have [handled] the situation a bit better. But it is what it is.’

Their comments came as Lexi turned her Instagram account private as viewers continue to react to the dramatic two episodes that have aired so far.
The Miss Bahamas star appeared to confirm she had quit the show beforehand, with her Instagram bio previously stating that she was a member of the Bravo series but was ‘no longer in the yachting industry’.
Now she has switched her social media page up once more, taking Below Deck out of her bio altogether, and locking down her account.
Instead, her profile now reads: ‘Lover of Travel fashionSkincare .’
She added the quote: ‘“I hope she’ll be a fool, that’s the best thing a girl could be in this world a beautiful little fool”.’
Below Deck Mediterranean is available to stream on hayu, with new episodes dropping on Tuesdays.
