Tammy Slaton gave the audience of 1000-Lb Sisters a front-row ticket to her emotional wedding to Caleb Willingham.
After meeting at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center, where the bride sought treatment after a near-fatal health crisis, the couple began dating a year ago.
In November, following a whirlwind relationship, they married the knot, with Amy Slaton serving as a bridesmaid.
People Magazine acquired a preview footage for Tuesday’s show that recorded the moment Tammy entered the ceremony, leaving her fiance in tears.
She was brought down the aisle while wearing an exquisite white gown, tiara, and short veil.
On her wedding day, the TLC actress entered the altar with a bouquet of yellow and orange flowers.
‘When I saw Caleb at the altar, I was just picturing doves and butterflies all around. Like God had opened up the clouds and let the sunlight in,’ she said in a confessional.
‘It was magical.’
Caleb was struck with emotion at seeing his partner and wiped away tears.
‘When I finally see her, my heart explodes,’ he told the camera.
Before they could celebrate, however, the happy couple had to overcome the obstacle of anyone ‘objecting’ to their marriage.
‘I don’t think anybody’s going to object, but you never know,’ she added in the talking head interview. ‘My family can be surprising.
‘But no one said anything, thank God.’
Tammy’s concern was natural, given that her family had previously questioned why they were moving so quickly.
In a heated conversation, her family members questioned whether she was secretly pregnant and whether that was the reason for their hasty wedding.
‘I’m going to ask the question that all four of us [are] really dying to really want to know,’ Tammy was asked. ‘Are you pregnant?’
‘Nobody’s having a shotgun wedding,’ she simply replied.
‘I get it and we both understand, but people here would like to come. My friends, the family we’ve made here,’ she clarified.
Speaking in a confessional, the reality star insisted: ‘The heck? I ain’t pregnant.
‘This is crazy. I can’t believe my family thinks I’m getting married because I’m pregnant. They’re stupid.
‘I just want my family to support me and be happy for me. It’s my life and I should get what I want.’
1000Lb Sisters airs on Tuesdays on TLC at 9pm ET/PT.
