Home viewers of The Apprentice were in stitches at a bargain shopping assignment that forced some contestants to reveal they couldn’t read a map.
This week, Lord Alan Sugar dispatched the contestants to Brighton in search of nine artefacts representative of the city.
The point of the competition was to determine which team could get the most goods while simultaneously spending the least amount of money possible in the allotted time.
However, before getting started, many individuals, as is customary, put their hands up to be team leaders.
But almost all of them were honest about the fact that they could have trouble getting about the city since they couldn’t understand the paper maps they were provided.
Listening to this, many viewers at home formed snap judgements on the millennial generation.
Yet many others complained that the remarks made them feel “old” for being able to understand the supposedly incomprehensible paper guidelines.
Some of the objects, particularly the rose from the Sahara Desert, proved puzzling to the teams.
It’s understandable that they assumed it was a flower, but after calling and visiting various flower shops, they were left just as baffled as before.
It turned out that a cluster of crystals was what they need.
The Apprentice airs Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One.
