Avengers: Endgame star Jeremy Renner put his glad rags on to join Hailee Steinfeld on the set of Marvel’s new Hawkeye series in New York.
The pair appeared to be dressed up for a black tie event with Clint Barton actor Jeremy in a tuxedo, and Hailee, playing the new Hawkeye Kate Bishop, wearing a smart coat with her hair tied back.
New pictures from the set show them walking together in the chilly evening as Kate and Clint work together.
Their characters may have got into a scrape in previous scenes as Jeremy had scratches on his face and a plaster on his forehead.
At one point they both smiled down at a small dog Jeremy had in his hands.
The pair looked to be getting along famously as they chatted away casually in between takes at a nearby children’s top shop.
The Marvel series is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2021.
In the Marvel comics, Kate becomes Clint’s protégé after training herself to master a bow and arrow, just as Hawkeye did in the Avengers movies.
Filming has also taken place in Washington Square Park and in Chinatown.
Previously the pair have been seen on set with a four-legged friend, believed to be Marvel character Lucky the Pizza Dog.
When we last saw Jeremy as Hawkeye he had been reunited with his family after they were evaporated by Thanos in ‘the snap’ event.
He also witnessed the death of his best friend Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), as they tried to stop Thanos by retrieving the Soul Stone from Vormir in Avengers: Endgame.
Scarlett’s butt-kicking Russian spy is set to return in her own standalone movie, however the release is currently delayed.
