Armie Hammer hinted that he may have been fired from Gossip Girl after an old interview clip resurfaced online.

The video, which was aired in 2017, shows the actor answering audience member’s questions on Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen.

He was also joined by American comedian Chelsea Handler on stage.

Armie, who played the role of Gabriel on season two, suggested that he was given the boot after a member of the audience asked “On Gossip Girl, who was the biggest diva on set?”.

‘You can say it because it’s so far away from where you are now,’ Chelsea chipped in.

‘I suggest that you do not pass on another question.’

‘I wish I could take all my passes back,’ Armie answered awkwardly. ‘And use them all right now.’

After hesitating, Armie began by explaining that Gossip Girl was a ‘tough show to film’.

‘I didn’t end up actually filming all the episodes I was supposed to because it was such a tough film,’ he told them.

‘Literally you said “Get me out of this?”‘ host Andy quizzed.

‘It was also like “Get him out of here,”‘ Armie continued as he indicated that he was actually fired from the show.

Andy went on to ask him whose love interest he was on the show, to which he replied: ‘I was Blake Lively’s love interest.’

‘It sounds like she was the problem,’ Chelsea joked.

‘No, no, that’s not what I’m saying,’ Armie responded.

Chelsea added: ‘Don’t put words in his mouth.’

‘Because my foot is already there,’ Armie added.

It comes after it was reported that the 34-year-old actor decided to drop out of his upcoming movie with Jennifer Lopez, slamming the ‘bulls**t claims’ made against him.

The Social Network actor has pulled out of the upcoming movie, titled Shotgun Wedding, after messages, allegedly from Hammer, detailing disturbing sexual fantasies, were leaked online.

Armie has also reportedly left the cast of upcoming series Gaslit, which is set to star Julia Roberts, Sean Penn and Joel Edgerton.

According to Deadline, the actor left the series before the current controversy, because of a scheduling conflict with another show, The Offer.

His part in Gaslit is also set to be recast.

Upcoming projects of Hammer’s also include spy movie Million Dollar Spy, and the untitled Call Me By Your Name Sequel.
