Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have admitted they no longer lose sleep over viewing figures for their television shows as the ‘landscape has changed’.

The Geordie presenters, who are both 46, returned to the small screen on Saturday night with their new ITV game show Limitless Win, revealed they feel more pressure on the production side of things.

‘I don’t feel that much under pressure in terms of overnight figures anymore because the landscape has changed,’ Ant said.

‘The pressure is to get it right and to make the right show.’

Speaking about Limitless Win, he continued: ‘It looks really good, we delivered what we set out to deliver. You’re nervous launching any new project but we’re very proud of what we’ve done. It’s the show we had in our heads.’

Dec added to the Mail Online: ‘We’re proud. You put it out there and hope people like it. It’s a fun, exciting, dramatic watch.

‘We hope people like it as much as we do but you can never tell, can you? You feel a bit of pressure but that’s not where you have the sleepless nights, the sleepless nights are before you shoot the show.’

Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win is the duo’s first new show in over 10 years.

While the jury is still out on the overnight ratings, the series kicked off on Saturday night and saw two NHS workers walk home with £500,000.

Although viewers were pleased to see the frontline workers win big, many were confused by the rules of the game.

The game requires contestants to answer numerical questions to continue up the levels to bank limitless amounts of money, but in order to remain in the game they are not allowed to answer over the correct answer or run out of lives.

Contestants lose lives if they submit a number lower than the correct answer, with the amount of lives taken off being the difference between their answer and the correct one.

Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win airs Saturdays at 8.30pm on ITV.
