Ant and Dec were overjoyed as ITV revealed an intriguing update regarding game show Limitless Win.
The I’m A Celebrity hosts have presented the show since it first aired in 2022, with participants attempting to climb a never-ending money ladder in order to win the world’s first limitless prize.
Over the course of its two seasons, Limitless Win has attracted famous participants, with Rylan Clark, Jimmy Carr, and Katherine Ryan all participating in the game to raise funds for charity.
Fans of the programme will be pleased to learn that it has been renewed for two more seasons by the Love Island broadcaster, extending its run until at least 2025.
‘We’re so thrilled that Limitless Win has been such a popular with the audience, we enjoy producing it,’ Ant McPartlin, 47, said of the recommission.
‘It’s such a thrilling and emotional roller coaster of a show.’
Dec Donnelly, 47, stated that the duo is excited to see how players’ strategies evolve now that they are’more experienced’ with the format.
He added: ‘We’re bracing ourselves for another two series of high tension and nail-biting drama as more contestants take on the Limitless ladder.
‘We’re excited to see how high they can climb now they’re so much more familiar with the show. Bring it on.’
The second season saw the introduction of a new lifeline that allowed Ant and Dec to assist players with the answer to one question – and Dec previously claimed the team believed it would be too much pressure.
He said: ‘As soon as it came to the first record and that lifeline popped up, honestly my heart sank.
‘I thought, “Oh God. Oh no. What have we done here? The pressure, the pressure.”‘
The lifelong friends also admitted to losing £1.2 million on Limitless Win before the series broadcast.
‘We played it and went up to £1.2 million up the ladder, but we got a rush of blood to the brain and started replying too rapidly, and we lost,’ Ant explained at the time.
The Geordie team have a busy couple of years ahead of them, with the last season of Saturday Night Takeaway set to air before they go on hiatus and other ITV projects, such as I’m A Celeb, set to film.
Ant and Dec also recently stated that they were working on a revival of the adolescent drama Byker Grove, which began their careers.
The next season of Limitless Win will begin filming later this year and will debut in 2024.
Limitless Win is available to stream on ITVX.
