Live TV is full of mistakes and slip-ups, and Saturday Night Takeaway was no exception, as one surprised audience member cursed on television.
Tonight’s show included Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, as well as Josie Gibson, Jordan North, and Judi Love, at various places throughout the country.
The three, however, presented from inside some people’s houses, which surprised some in the audience.
Jordan, a former Radio 1 DJ, dressed in Anita’s dressing robe, Josie slept in Mark’s bed, and Judi raided Prakesh’s fridge, surprising the homeowners.
As Ant and Dec hopped around the audience to see who would be at risk of having their houses shown on national television, they turned to Prakesh, who had no clue what was about to happen.
‘Oh f**k, oh jesus!’ he screamed, as the mic was thrust in his face.
Despite his amazement, Prakesh earned full points for seeing the changes Judi made in his kitchen and won a Takeaway Getaway.
Fans were distracted from the game being played by catching his language though, with viewer Craig writing on X: ‘Did he just swear?? lol.’
Channelling their inner AJ Odudu, Tyrese joked: ‘Prakesh please do not Swurrr.’
Ant and Dec later apologised for the slip-up, which broadcast hours before the watershed.
‘A little apology if you did hear any language during that, we are very sorry, live TV and all that,’ Dec said as Ant grilled: ‘Who was it?’
Dec joked: ‘I’m not looking at anybody or saying any names, but Prakesh!’
Others, however, were in hysterics due to Prakesh’s evident astonishment.
‘Can’t believe that fella just shouting “ohhh f**kkkkkk”,’ CJ laughed.
Saturday Night Takeaway airs at 7pm on ITV1.
