Anna Nicole Smith said her biological dad Donald Hogan had tried to have sex when they reunited after 20 years.
Anna Nicole Smith, You Don’t know Me, a Netflix documentary about the Playboy model who died in 2007 at 39 from an accidental overdose of drugs, was the subject.
As well as her fame and tragic death, the feature explores Smith’s troubled family background, including her late father, who is described as a ‘monster’ by his own son and Smith’s half-brother, Donnie Hogan.
Smith was estranged for over 24 years from her father before she hired a private investigator to find him after becoming a Hollywood star and landing campaigns with Guess Jeans.
Smith flew to California as soon as the investigators discovered Hogan in California. Hogan died in 2009 from lung cancer, at age 62.
The documentary shows Smith as she rushes out of the terminal to hug Hogan and Donnie, before taking the limousine to Disneyland for the day.
Smith later invited both her father and brother to a Playboy party in her honour – but after the party, her friend Melissa ‘Missy’ Byrum tells programme makers that Hogan was never seen again.
Donnie, meanwhile, says: ‘I wanted Vickie to know the truth. It’s not safe to leave my dad alone. [with]. You will not feel safe.
‘I mean, he’s a monster.’
Donnie says that when he was 16, his father informed him he had sexually abused his wife’s younger sister.

‘He’s very scary. I was always afraid of him,’ Donnie continues.
Missy asked Smith after her trip how Hogan was, and she said she didn’t really want to know.
Missy continues: ‘When we were alone on the plane, she told me that her father had tried to have sex with her.’
When told about the incident, Donnie tells the documentary producers: ‘He assaulted her? This would not be him. Is it really true? Could it be? It couldn’t be.
‘But you know what I wouldn’t put it past him. I suppose I wasn’t present all the time, so it might be true.
