Well, prepare to have all your dreams crushed because the And Just Like That Instagram account has shared the bleak reality of Sarah Jessica Parker gazing out of a fake window from a fake apartment on a fake street, all part of a TV set.
Of course that shouldn’t too surprising, but as thousands of fans flock to the stoop of the actual apartment Carrie is regularly seen leaving on Perry Street in New York, most of us understandably believed we’ve been watching her in the actual thing.

Alongside a photo of Sarah Jessica filming And Just Like That looking out from Carrie’s pad, the And Just Like That account wrote: ‘Ever wonder where Carrie’s plush NY apartment is?’
Well, we weren’t the only ones devastated by the image.
One mortified fan commented underneath: ‘How could you!’ while another equally distraught follower cried: ‘Don’t break my heart.’
And their echoes were shared by many, with someone else posting: ‘So wait. All the interior shots from all the seasons were on a sound stage?! I feel like my life is a lie !!!!’
As if it wasn’t enough And Just Like That has already ruined everyone’s favourite relationship with Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady falling apart at the seams, this has really tipped fans over the edge.
And Just Like That has received a mixed response since its launch last year, as it follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte York Goldenblatt navigating life in their 50s without their former best friend Samantha Jones, after Kim Cattrall refused to take part in the reboot.
While the HBO Max revival has been welcomed from fans delighted to be reunited with the ladies, it’s also come under fire for trying too hard to right the wrongs of Sex and The City’s diversity issue.
