Amanda Holden has stayed firm in the face of people who feel she should cover up, retaliating when Andrew Tate attempted to humiliate her.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 52, has been the subject of hundreds of complaints from fans who object to the costumes she wears on the show.
She has since stated that she has not taken their critiques seriously and would continue to dress how she pleases.
It comes after Tate publicly ridiculed her for posting a swimsuit photo online.
The former kickboxer, who is to stand trial on rape and human-trafficking charges, previously wrote: ‘You are a wife and a mother and youre [sic] far past a teenager. There is no need for this post.’
Laughing off the criticism, Amanda said she had been tempted to post the photo with the caption: ‘Kiss my 52-year-old arse.’
She continued: ‘But you just know something like that’s going to go on and on – and in the end, why give him the oxygen?’
When asked if she intends to dress more modestly, Amanda stated unequivocally that she will not be covering herself.
‘I will always listen to myself first, because I dress for me – nobody else,’ she said.
‘So, if you do one day see me dressed in a Victorian bathing suit, it’s because everything has dropped to the floor and I’ve decided, today is the day I’m going to start covering up.
‘Honestly, I can’t see that happening any time soon, darling,’ she added when speaking to The Telegraph.
Previously, the BGT judge was the target of 235 Ofcom complaints during the talent show’s 2020 season for wearing a severely plunging gown that some thought was improper for a family programme.
Another revealing costume she wore on the show in 2017 became one of the year’s most complained-about TV moments, with 663 people emailing the watchdog about it.
Amanda claimed earlier this year that she would never ‘fade into the background’ and would continue to ‘flaunt her bits’ for as long as she could.
She claimed she will continue to exhibit her shape even as her body matures, joking she would ‘scoop up’ her parts when they are ‘drooping to the floor’.
Around the same time, Amanda stated that she wasn’t bothered by the trolls, claiming that the criticism came from those with “too much time on their hands.”
Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV in 2024.
