Amanda Holden draws gasps with Jimmy Carr tax scandal quip on I Can See Your Voice

Amanda Holden couldn’t resist making a cheeky jibe at her musical co-host Jimmy Carr in the latest episode of I Can See Your Voice.

The comedian, 50, had come under fire in 2012 after he was accused of being part of a tax avoidance scheme, which he then pulled out of and apologised for a ‘terrible error of judgment.’

In the upcoming episode of the competition series, hosted by Paddy McGuinness, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda asks Jimmy whether he would ‘stake his pension’ on the contestant standing before them.

‘Oh no sorry you have to pay tax on a pension,’ she says

Savage!

While the shady jibe was proving too much for presenter Paddy, Jimmy makes sure to get the last laugh.

‘Hey the reason Amanda knows that is because she’s currently drawing hers,’ he fired back.

However, the 51-year-old actress was a good sport and appears to have a good ole’ chuckle.

And this isn’t the first time Jimmy has savagely mocked one of his co-stars on the show.

Blue singer Simon Webbe joined investigators Amanda, Alison Hammond and the 8 Out Of 10 Cats presenter to try and suss out whether the hopefuls are indeed good or bad singers.

During his appearance on the BBC juggernaut series, Simon said ‘A bad singer is really hard to spot but I’m going to try my best.’

Jimmy quipped: ‘I reckon you’ll be really good at this. Spotting a bad singer? It’s easy you normally just look to your left and Lee Ryan is there.’

A non-plussed Simon, claimed he ‘knew’ Jimmy was ‘going to say that.’

But Jimmy continued: ‘Simon Webbe. He is my fifth favourite member of Blue.’

I Can See Your Voice continues on Saturday at 9pm on BBC One.
