Alex Beresford is claimed to be ‘gutted’ that his show All About Britain was cancelled after only two seasons.
The Good Morning Britain weatherman co-hosted the ITV 1 show with Rita Hebden, but he’s since stated the pair won’t be back for additional episodes.
The show premiered in 2021 and followed Alex and Rita as they explored the Channel Islands before travelling up and down the UK, however it has since been cancelled.
He told The Sun: ‘We had a brilliant time exploring and celebrating places such as Blackpool, The Eden Project in Cornwall and Edinburgh but we won’t be making any more episodes.’
Fortunately for Alex and his supporters, there are more ideas in the works, including an intriguing new endeavour.
He teased: ‘However I am working on another project for ITV, details of which will be revealed shortly.’
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old host will appear on the first celebrity version of BBC reality show Race Across The World.
On the epic journey, he’ll be accompanied by his father Noel as he battles against McFly drummer Harry Judd, All Saints vocalist Mel Blatt, and racing driver Billy Monger.
Alex’s wife Imogen, whom he married in Majorca in 2022, has been left ‘upset’ by his decision to leave her at home and accompany his father on the road instead.
‘You don’t get to spend this sort of time with your parents as an adult. Imogen was upset, as she loves travelling and she’s a fan of the show,’ he explained to Radio Times.
‘But, as much as I love her and spending time with her, I’m not sure this was the honeymoon she’d want!’
Alex – who shares a son with ex partner Natalia – added: ‘With hindsight, I think I made the right decision.’
