Taylor Swift presented an additional hair-raising costume as she started off her Eras tour, but not in the traditional sense.
The 33-year-old pop diva began her much awaited Eras tour last week, which will take her to a number of American cities.
Taylor’s second night in Glendale, Arizona, was explosive in more ways than one, as she experienced a hairdo mishap during her three-hour performance.
A video released on social media shows the celebrity’s hair standing on end as she sings along to I Knew You Were Trouble.
When she screams out the high notes while wearing a stunning black and red sequined body costume, the actress does not allow her flyaway hair distract her.
Swifties took to social media to analyse Taylor’s new hairstyle, claiming she appeared to have been “struck by lightning.”
‘Even her hair knows not to sit down at a Taylor Swift concert,’ one Twitter user joked, with others branding the fly-away hair ‘her crown’.
One fan posted to Tik Tok: ‘Staticky hair Taylor is a Taylor I didn’t know I needed.’
‘You should think about the consequence of your magnetic field being a little too strong,’ another joked.
Another hopefully suggested that the surprise look ‘is an easter egg that she will re-record the static noise’.
Taylor was spotted with tears in her eyes when she sang a song dedicated to her deceased grandma during the tour.
During her performance of Marjorie, the singer can be seen in footage from the night with tears in her eyes and, at one point, attempting to wipe them away by blinking rapidly.
Taylor was around 13 years old in June 2003 when her grandmother, who was also a singer and artist, passed away at the age of 74.
Friday, Taylor began things off in Arizona with the assistance of Paramore and Gayle.
Taylor has taken her audience on a journey through her whole 17-year career with songs from each of her albums, as well as a number of clothing changes.
That follows the release of four unannounced tracks by Taylor overnight to mark the long-awaited tour.
