Miley Cyrus’ newest social media post has some fans believing she’s collaborated on new songs with Selena Gomez.
It all started yesterday, when Miley, 30, and Selena, 31, revealed that they would be releasing new songs within an hour of each other.
Miley revealed that she would be releasing a song called Used To Be Young on August 25.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘This song is dedicated to my loyal fans. I love YOU for loving every version of ME. Always, Miley’.
Selena will release Single Soon on the same date.
‘Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer,’ she shared.
So, on August 17, Selena and Miley both revealed new songs, and both of those songs will be released on August 25.
This might all be coincidence, but Miley stoked the fires of a potential collaboration with a tweet.
She penned: ‘@selenagomez and I are both dropping our new SINGLEs SOON….. I SAY WE #USEDTOBEYOUNG’ in response to a fan who noticed the timings.

Along with the witty remark, she provided pure nostalgia with a Disney Channel clip. Selena once appeared on Miley’s programme Hannah Montana, and the two delivered Oscar-worthy performances in a hilarious sequence.
‘What would you like to give?’ Hannah (Miley’s popstar alter-ego on the show) asked Selena during a phone-in fundraiser.
‘I’d like to give you singing lessons. I just heard your new single. Ouch.’
The couple proceeded to abuse one other, with Selena calling Hannah a “has-been” and Hannah promptly answering, “never-was.”
They could both use some water on their burns!
Fans quickly inferred that this post may mean the two had cooperated on music.

Fans soon deduced that this tweet may imply that the two have collaborated on music.
‘COLLAB OMG??’ wrote one person. ‘Collab wait,’ chimed in another.
One fan enquired: ‘OMG. Are both of you are the same song or different song?’
Another person was basically inside our brain: ‘WHAT DOES IT MEAN AAAAHHHHH’
Even if we are given to two individual songs rather than a collaboration, it is wonderful to see women supporting other women!
