On this years bingo card of stuff you surely did not expect to witness – Cee-Lo Green falls off a horse
Yes, you read that correctly.
While a chauffeur-driven ride would be a celeb’s usual form of transportation, Cee-Lo arrived at Shawty Lo’s birthday celebration on horseback, making it a night no one will soon forget.
The Gnarls Barkley musician, 47, arrived at the party on Wednesday night at The Bank in Atlanta, wearing a smile as bright as his gold chain as photographers filmed the occasion.
The unfortunate horse, on the other hand, was not a fan of the attention and became nervous with all the bright lights and loud noises.
Several individuals attempted to calm the horse down, but they were unable, and the horse slumped to the ground.
As a consequence, Cee-Lo – actual name Thomas DeCarlo Callaway-Burton – ended up on the floor as well, which many with cameras were delighted to catch.
The Forget You hitmaker, on the other hand, didn’t appear to be wounded, as he continued to smile on the way down and even did a roll before staggering to his feet.
Despite the eventual shame, the situation made the internet chuckle.
Referencing the lyrics to Cee-Lo’s biggest hit, one Twitter user joked: ‘horse really said f**k you and f**k her too’.
Another, impressed by the star’s reaction, wrote: ‘he sorta stuck the landing tho i appreciate that’.
‘Now this is the material we all came to see,’ one said, while another tweeted, ‘He recovered just how I’d expect Ceelo would’.
Shawty Lo, actual name Carlos Rico Walker, was a 40-year-old American rapper who died in an automobile accident in 2016.
His loved ones, however, continue to congregate on March 22 to mark his birthday and celebrate his legacy.
Shawty Lo was laid to rest in College Park, Georgia’s Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
His burial was unusual to say the least, since the procession went to The Blue Flame Lounge, one of the rapper’s favourite strip clubs, after the service.
There, a big crowd of mourners and guests saluted his casket with a minute of silence “filled with only the glow of the candles and the lights from the strip club.”
Former Masked Singer participant Cee-Lo paid homage to the late singer following his death, as did Gucci Mane, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Soulja Boy, and others.
