On Sunday night, one of BlackPink’s members went off stage in the middle of a performance and did not return.
The four-piece K-pop female group, which was founded in 2016, was playing in Melbourne, Australia, when the incident occurred, leaving onlookers startled.
With their debut album The Album, the South Korean pop band earned international popularity, and they just had a number one song in Australia.
The How You Like That hitmakers are now on a worldwide tour and will be in the UK on July 2 as part of the British Summer Time event in Hyde Park.
Jennie Kim, the group’s 27-year-old rapper and singer, left the stage after five songs, allowing the other three members to continue the show.
Lisa Manobal, 26, Kim Jisoo, 28, and Rose Park, 26, finished the two-hour set without Jennie, who apparently left due to sickness.

Footage of the incident circulated on social media, with Rose informing the crowd: ‘It seems that we will be proceeding with the rest of the show without Jennie.’
Rose continued: ‘However, we will try our best to fill the stage up for you guys and give you the best night so don’t worry about that.’
She then said that the group’s hearts would be with Jennie before a spontaneous chant of Jennie’s name rose up from the Australian crowd.
After the concert, it was revealed that Jennie had missed the soundcheck earlier in the day and had been resting up before the show.
The band’s management stated: ‘We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to all the fans who [supported] BlackPink and attended the event.’
It was later revealed that Jennie wanted to return to the stage but was discouraged by venue officials, who encouraged her to take a break.
BlackPink will become the first K-pop artist to headline a major UK festival, appearing alongside Bruce Springsteen, with their forthcoming appearance at Hyde Park.
