It’s that time of year again, when we all gather around the telly to watch an eight-year-old brutally torture two burglars attempting to rob his house, after he was abandoned by his family.
It’s more festive than it sounds.
Home Alone season is truly upon us, with pretty much everyone including the 1990 Christmas classic on their list of films to watch every December.
The family favourite sees Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) accidentally being left at home alone by his family, who have flown to Paris for Christmas.
Unfortunately, two neighbourhood burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) have taken a liking to the McAllister house and plan to rob it on Christmas Eve, so it’s up to Kevin and his homemade booby traps to foil their dastardly plan.
But where can you watch Home Alone this Christmas if you don’t have the DVD?
Disney Plus is streaming Home Alone, with the streaming service costing £5.99 a month.
As an added bonus, the platform is also hosting Home Alone 2: Lost In New York and Home Alone 3.
Home Alone 2 is a direct sequel, with Kevin accidentally boarding the wrong plane as his family head to Florida, and ending up in the Big Apple.
After tricking his way into a room at the Plaza Hotel – bumping into Donald Trump on the way – Kevin is forced to confront the Wet Bandits once again, after they break out of jail.
While Home Alone 3 is written and produced by John Hughes, it is the first film not to be directed by Chris Columbus or to star Macaulay Culkin.
Alex D Linz plays Alex Pruitt, who has to defend his home from a band of spies working for a North Korean terrorist organisation, who are after a microchip that has accidentally ended up in Alex’s home.
Home Alone 4: Taking Back The House, a made for TV movie starring Mike Weinberg as Kevin, is not available on Disney Plus.
