After that nail-biting cliffhanger, Vin Diesel has announced the release date of Fast X Part 2.
The Fast and Furious franchise was originally supposed to conclude with the 11th picture, leaving many fans wondering when the last installment of the tale will be released.
Taking to Instagram, the 55-year-old actor, who plays Dominic Toretto, said that the sequel will hit theatres on April 4, 2025, which means we have a long wait ahead of us.
In the latest tweet, he also addressed rumours that he was privately feuding with Jason Momoa, who recently joined the cast as scene-stealing villain Dante.
‘April 4th 2025… is less than 22 months away,’ he wrote alongside a picture of himself and Jason behind the scenes. ‘I love how expressive and collaborative all of the actors in our franchise feel coming into the World’s Saga.
‘Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene stealing character that the world won’t forget.
‘Thank you all for showing up like you always do…. 7 billion means nothing if it doesn’t represent the true feeling of family and loyalty.
‘For those who didn’t know the FastX was just part one, know that part two is going to be an effort from our fast family and studio like you have never seen. All love…’
Fans were living for the update and shared their excitement for the upcoming flick below.
One wrote: ‘It was magical!!! Jason did such a great job! I can’t wait for part 2!’
Another agreed: ‘X was absolutely WOW. can’t wait to see the part two. I’m so excited!!!!’

Vin’s remark comes after a source earlier told RadarOnline that he was “embarrassed” that his co-star was “taking his thunder” on production.
Although the 11th picture is expected to be the final in the main franchise – for the time being – we will still be receiving our Fast and Furious fix, as Vin recently stated that a female-led spin-off, as well as a slew of other films, are in the works.
He previously told Variety: ‘I started developing the female spinoff … in 2017 with other spin-offs.
‘The sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spin-offs.’
Fast X Part 2 is set to be released on April 4, 2025.
