Amber Heard makes a fleeting appearance in the latest Aquaman 2 teaser.
Heard, 37, will reprise her role as Mera, the wife of Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, in the film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
The latest trailer for the blockbuster picture teases lots of action for fans of the franchise, although Heard only appears in a portion of it, appearing for two seconds.
Before the trailer starts, the Queen of Atlantis may be seen for a short second beating on a window.
Nicole Kidman as Atlanna is heavily featured in the trailer for the sequel, which also stars Patrick Wilson, Ben Affleck, Dolph Lungren, and Jani Zhao.
It comes after Heard claimed her part had been cut as a result of her high-profile defamation battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Aquaman director James Wan denied her assertions, claiming that Mera will not have a significant role in the film.
‘I always pitched this to everyone from the get-go. The first Aquaman was Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm,’ he told Entertainment Weekly.
‘So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie.’
During the trial, which concluded that she did disparage her ex, a petition seeking for her removal from the film received 4.5 million signatures.
Amber said on the stand that she was handed a revised screenplay for Aquaman 2 with a’very pared-down version’ of her character. She also disputed that she was cast only because of her relationship with her ex-husband.
Walter Hamada, president of DC Films at Warner Bros, testified that there were concerns about a ‘lack of chemistry’ between Amber and Jason and that there were discussions about recasting her, rather than the issue with her ex-husband.
Following lengthy development delays, Aquaman 2 is set to be released on December 20.
Little is known about the plot of the eagerly-anticipated film, with an official synopsis reading: ‘Aquaman forges an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally in a bid to save Atlantis and the rest of the planet.’
