Heinz has finally answered the age-old question of whether ketchup should be stored in the refrigerator or not.
Their conclusion: refrigerator.

One person in disagreement asked: ‘Why is it not in the fridge at the supermarkets then?’
‘Cold sauce on hot food? No,’ another added.
One reply was: ‘No it doesn’t. You stick to production and I’ll deal with the consumption’, to which Heinz wittily replied: ‘Put it in the fridge or I dunno how to function…’
Many were shocked people don’t store it in the fridge though, with one writing: ‘People keep it out of the fridge? *gasp*’.
Heinz ran a study of 2,000 Brits and found that four in ten keep ketchup in the cupboard, not the fridge.
Those in Sheffield are the worst offenders, with almost two thirds going for the cupboard.
Even Cardi B and Victoria Beckham have previously stated that they do not use the refrigerator, but the explanation is now clear.
