Heinz announces surprise return of three limited edition baked bean flavours

Calling all Heinz baked bean fans: three limited edition flavours are returning on stores.

Vindaloo, Tikka, and Jalfrezi baked beans, part of Heinz’s Liberation Range, have returned to shops.

These spiced beans were initially released in October last year to commemorate National Curry Week, and after their success and popularity, they’re back with a bang.

Heinz described the Vindaloo taste as having ‘enough chilli to make you raise an eyebrow, but enough ripe tomatoes to make you grin.’ On the other hand, the Tikka delivers a creamy and mellow taste with warming spices, whilst the medium Jalfrezi is aromatic with pungent spices.

Despite early scepticism, many customers in the UK braved the unknown to try out these items when they first became available, and naturally resorted to social media to express their thoughts.

A few users on Heinz UK’s Instagram gave enthusiastic feedback on the unusual tastes released.

One said: ‘I tried the Jalfrezi Beanz last night and they were amazing!’

Another added: ‘Just had the Vindaloo ones and I applaud you!’

However, not all of their customers were keen on the beans. One person replied: ‘Can it get any worse?’

These new reboots follow the announcement of Heinz Beanz Filled Hash Browns last year. The combination of hash browns and beans piqued people’s interest while also making them sceptical.

Some people expressed their diverse perspectives on Heinz UK’s Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter). Someone commented, ‘Need to try them!’, anticipating the upcoming release.

Others voiced their dissatisfaction by saying, ‘Call the police.’

But that’s not all; millennials celebrated last month when the firm revealed that Heinz Beanz & Sausage Pizzas were once again available in Iceland shops.
