While we have been bingeing the newest season of Good Girls and baking bread, Lily Collins was sneaking off to the woods to get hitched in a shocking ceremony paying homage to a Tolkien blockbuster.
The Emily in Paris star married her longtime associate, director Charlie McDowell, in a non-public ceremony in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, at a distant resort over the Labour Day vacation weekend.
Collins confirmed the information of her nuptials on Instagram, sharing a sequence of images of the pair from the marriage.
And the gown was actually a sight to behold. For her large day, the 32-year-old wore a chic long-sleeved, high-neck lace robe by Ralph Lauren, whereas the groom seemed dapper in a retro velvet tuxedo. What actually gave the bridal look an ethereal edge was a hooded lace cape and cascading practice rather than a conventional veil. It’s one of many few bridal appears the designer home has created, with one other well-known one together with Priyanka Chopra’s sheer, embellished robe.
Her hair was swept again in an intricate chignon by hairstylist Gregory Russell, whereas her make-up consisted of daring eyes, courtesy of superstar make-up artist Fiona Stiles.
In her preliminary submit, the actress shared a picture of the kissing couple in opposition to a country picket altar, presumably moments after the ceremony.
“I’ve never wanted to be someone’s someone more than I do yours, and now I get to be your wife,” Collins captioned the submit. “On September 4th, 2021 we officially became each other’s forever. I love you beyond @charliemcdowell.”
She adopted the submit with one other scenic shot of the 2 sharing a candy second by a waterfall. “What started as a fairytale, is now my forever reality. I’ll never be able to properly describe how otherworldly this past weekend was, but magical is a pretty good place to start,” she wrote.
Collins has been courting McDowell, 38, since 2019, with the pair getting engaged in September 2020 after McDowell proposed whereas on a hike in New Mexico.
