Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott have confirmed their engagement.
Since 2019, the 43-year-old New Girl actress has been dating the 45-year-old Property Brothers presenter.
On Monday night, she announced on Instagram that she is now his bride-to-be.
‘Forever starts today!!!’ she captioned a photo of herself flashing her diamond engagement ring and cuddling close to Jonathan.
Her stunning band is set with diamonds, purple sapphires, and what looks to be a pink stone.
Jonathan popped the question on Sunday during a family vacation in Scotland, according to People magazine, with the couple posing in front of a castle amid striking scenery.
Zooey’s daughter Elsie, eight, and son Charlie, six, whom she had with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik, 51, also helped organise the special occasion, according to the source.
Plenty of the couple’s famous friends rushed to congratulate them on the news, with Mindy Kaling commenting: ‘Omg!!! So amazing Zooey! Congrats!! ❤️’

Zooey and Jonathan met for the first time while recording an episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke with their siblings, Drew and Emily Deschanel.
The duo were then seen holding hands the following month, only one week after Zooey announced her divorce from Jacob, whom she married in 2015.
They announced their affair in October 2019 when they kissed during a Dancing with the Stars filming.
During the Covid lockdowns, they spent time providing glimpses of their lives with admirers on social media, including at-home haircuts.
In a dedication for their first anniversary, Zooey described her lover as the most “kind, compassionate, amusing, generous, creative, geeky, attractive, and all around great human.”
‘I am so grateful for every smile, kiss, hug, snuggle, laugh, scrabble game, escape room, breakfast, lunch and dinner we share together,’ she wrote at the time on social media.
‘Even during the weirdest year for humanity I want a million billion more with you.’
Jonathan said on Entertainment Tonight in August 2021 about the actress: ‘We just celebrated our second anniversary… and I know I am dating up.’
He added he plans to ‘keep raising the bar and keep up with those expectations’.
The pair purchased a $9.5 million property in 2020 and finished renovations on the five-bedroom Georgian restoration two years later.
Zooey was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie vocalist Ben Gibbard, 47, from whom she divorced in 2012 following a three-year marriage.
Jonathan was formerly married to Kelsy Ully, a flight coordinator.
