I’m A Celebrity star Jordan North once called Yungblud by his ex-girlfriend’s name on radio and if he thinks he’s going to get an invite to one of the singer’s dinner parties, then he can think again.
While starring on I’m A Celeb, Jordan was seen recalling the awkward gaffe at the end of his interview with Yungblud to his campmates.
They had been discussing their most embarrassing moments at work, with Ruthie Henshall revealing she had to run off stage to projectile vomit and Victoria Derbyshire remembering the time she famously mispronounced Jeremy Hunt’s name on live TV.
While Jordan’s mishap with Yungblud never actually made it to air, his colleagues decided to share the moment on Twitter – with Jordan, despite being warned several times not to mention ‘the Halsey thing’, heard introducing Yungblud as his former flame.
Yungblud was on Radio 1 with Greg James and discussing dream dinner guests with a listener when the awkward moment with Jordan was brought up.
The listener said that they would want Jordan to attend their dinner party, after being impressed with him in camp, with Yungblud hitting back: ‘He’s not invited to any of my dinner parties after that stunt on the radio.’
‘He can stay outside,’ the artist teased.
When Greg pointed out that Jordan had brought up the mistake all over again on national TV, Halsey joked: ‘Everybody was texting me like, “You’re on I’m A Celebrity.”
‘And I was like, “What? They don’t let them play music on I’m A Celebrity and I’m pretty sure I’m not in Wales,” and they go, “Jordan North is talking about you.”‘
Despite joking that he’d be leaving Jordan off his invite list, Yungblud proved that that he’s not holding anything against him.
‘He is very lovely, he’s hilarious’ he said of Jordan to the listener. ‘I love that boy.’
Halsey at the time was left open-mouthed by Jordan’s slip up, where the DJ had gone to play a song and ended up saying: ‘We will get another track on and then we’ll have another chat with Halsey’.
Luckily, Yungblud saw the funny side and burst out laughing as he joked: ‘Ohhh, he dropped the bomb.’
Jordan became a fan favourite on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity and finished in second place.
He reached the final three with Vernon Kay, who came third, and Giovanna Fletcher who was crowned the show’s winner.
