Tonight, actor Jodie Turner-Smith is due to make her triumphant debut as Anne Boleyn, second wife to Henry VIII in Channel 5’s new three-part fantasy psychological thriller.
This intriguing take on history focuses on Jodie as Anne in the final five months of her life, prior to her execution by beheading for treason in 1536.

Who is the Anne Boleyn star married to?
Jodie, who was born in the UK to Jamaican parents before moving to Maryland with her mother as a child, has found love with an American actor.
Dawson’s Creek actor Joshua Jackson, 42, who was previously in a 10-year relationship with Troy star Diane Kruger, met 34-year-old Jodie in 2018.

The pair married in December 2019.
In an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jodie jokingly referred to their relationship as a ‘three-year one-night stand’.
She explained: ‘When I first met my husband, it was kind of — we had a one-night stand. We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.’
The Queen & Slim star, who grew up watching Dawson’s Creek, also revealed more about their initial meeting at a Hollywood party.
Explaining how she saw him before he saw her, Jodie recalled deciding: ‘I want that’.
But in a classic first-move when it comes to dating, she played it cool, saying: ‘And then when he saw me, I just pretended like I didn’t see him.’
This tactic seemed to work a treat, as Jodie had Joshua approach and make the first move.
‘He comes over and does this really cute, charming thing that he does and just all night — he just basically followed me around the party.’
Do they have children?
Joshua and Jodie welcomed a baby daughter in April 2020, with a rep for Joshua confirming to Metro.co.uk at the time that ‘both mother and baby are happy and healthy’.
They named their baby girl Janie, making it three Js in the family.
Jodie filmed her role as Lieutenant Commander Karen Greer in Tom Clancy thriller Without Remorse, opposite Michael B. Jordan, while she was in her second trimester of pregnancy.
The actor opened up about the reality of being a pandemic parent, having given birth at the height of the first lockdown.
Speaking to Elle, she said: ‘Navigating parenthood at any time is difficult, and it’s even more difficult without support, when everything is shut down and you can’t really see other people or go anywhere.’

She also opened up about childbirth, revealing the four-day labour she experienced before welcoming Janie into the world at home.
After that process, Jodie labelled women ‘supremely powerful beings’ for being able to cope with that kind of ‘goddess-level s**t’.
