As if weddings weren’t complex enough, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s massive event suddenly got a whole lot more complicated.
The 24-year-old son of footballer David Beckham and his 28-year-old wife married in April, and people are still talking about it — but not always for the right reasons.
With a combined net worth of over $60 million (£47 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth, plus a lot more family money from both sides, it’s no wonder Brooklyn and his beau enjoyed an extravagant wedding.
The day was so opulent that it is thought to have cost approximately $3 million (£2.3 million), and they even went through three wedding planners to ensure their 500 guests were delighted.
Nicola’s 81-year-old wealthy industrialist father Nelson Peltz, however, filed a complaint against one of the wedding planners when they allegedly refused to return a $159,000 (£125,000) deposit after they parted ways barely nine days into the work.
According to documents acquired by the Daily Mail, Nelson argues that Plan Design Events’ Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba lacked the “expertise” to carry off a wedding of this “calibre.”
Nelson and his wife Claudia approached Plan Design Events after parting ways with their previous celebrity planner, Preston Bailey, only six weeks before their wedding at their Palm Beach mansion.
Nelson eventually hired Michelle Rago of Michelle Rago Destinations to complete the task.
Nelson described his daughter as a “world-famous actress” in the complaint and explained the feud.
‘Nicola is a world-famous actress who has starred in blockbuster movies and television shows, including, among others, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bates Motel and The Last Airbender,’ the suit begins.
‘The guest list included more than five hundred people, including numerous celebrities, athletes, dignitaries and other influential individuals, who travelled from all around the globe to attend.
‘The celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the anticipated attendance of many high-profile guests required that the wedding planner have the expertise and staffing to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of the expected calibre and complexity.’

Who is suing Nicola Peltz and why?
Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, co-owners of Maimi-based Plan Design Events, are now countersuing for breach of contract.
They claimed Nelson was a “bully” and stated that they had worked diligently to meet all of the family’s expectations.
Despite her father’s lawsuit, the actress has denied any involvement in the conflict in court records.
Now according to DailyMail.com, Nicola will be deposed for an on-camera grilling in one month – whether she likes it or not.
Nicola’s deposition will be the first of the Peltz family’s on-the-record responses after Nelson’s May date was postponed to see if both parties could reach an agreement through mediation.
Claudia, the businessman’s wife, and his renowned daughter are apparently named as third-party defendants.
In a June filing, the publication claimed the Peltz’s lawyers wrote: ‘Aware that its claims are frivolous, PDE (Plan Design Events) shamefully attempts to falsely portray Nicola in an extremely negative light to entice the media and hopefully pressure Mr. Peltz to dismiss his well-founded claims against PDE.
‘While this was tailor-made for the tabloids, it could not be further from the truth.’
Prior to the pair’s wedding, New York publicist R Couri Hay described the bash as ‘Hollywood’s version’ of ‘Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’ in an interview with The Times.
‘You’ve got the son of sports and fashion royalty marrying an American billionaire’s daughter, who also happens to be a beautiful actress,’ they added.
