Victoria Beckham reveals intimate details of ‘most romantic thing’ David has ever done

Victoria Beckham gave fans an inside look at her beautiful 2006 wedding vow renewal with David Beckham.

The Spice Girls singer, 49, began dating the former Manchester United footballer, 48, in 1997, and they married in a grandiose wedding in Ireland in July 1999.

In 2006, the famous couple repeated their vows and then went on a romantic trip to Paris, which David planned as a surprise for Victoria.

The fashion designer, who is currently advertising her debut fragrance, has been reminiscing over the event, sharing a previously unseen photo with her millions of fans.

The mother-of-four said on social media that her fragrance, Suite 302, was inspired by her and David’s “love affair with Paris.”

Her husband took her away from London to Paris over 20 years ago, and she characterised their vow renewal as a “whirlwind.”

‘This really, really takes me back,’ she said in a video about her perfume. ‘I would almost say that this fragrance is a tribute to mine and David’s love affair with Paris.’

‘In the 90s, we would often sneak away to Paris, just the two of us, we would stay at the Hotel Costes,’ she shared.

‘I remember the heavy velvet drapes, the dark, sexy rooms, and how that smelled. It was quite heavy, but it was sexy.’

‘But when we lived in Spain, we dropped the kids off at school one morning, I was in a tracksuit… yeah, I was in a tracksuit!’, Victoria joked. ‘And he was in a tracksuit as well.’

She recounted: ‘David said to me, “I’m gonna take you somewhere for the day.” So, we drive to the airport, we get on a private plane, halfway through the flight, David goes into the bathroom and he comes out in a tuxedo, looking so handsome. And he said, “There’s something for you to put on in the bathroom.”

‘I go into the bathroom and there was a white dress hanging up, so I put it on, I put some make-up on, I sit down in my seat, then the plane lands in London, I get off and there is the chauffeur driven car that drove us to our wedding all those years ago, the same car, the same driver.’

David then drove Victoria to their former home in North London, which included a small chapel on the grounds.

‘He’s covered the whole chapel with flowers, my parents were there, his parents were there, and our sisters and my brother, and we had the vicar who married us remarry us,’ Victoria shared.

‘I genuinely had no idea. It was the most romantic thing that he’s ever done.’

Victoria then described how David drove her back to the airport and how they boarded their private plane again.

‘I’ve no idea where we’re going again,’ she said. ‘And we land in Paris and we had a mini honeymoon that was literally 24 hours long. We stayed at the Ritz, Suite 302.’

Talk about dreamy!

Victoria later shared a photo of the outfit she wore to the surprise ceremony on Instagram.

The pop diva looked stunning in a Roberto Cavalli gown as she posed outside the chapel.

She had longer brunette hair with blonde highlights at the time.

Of course, the Beckhams’ marriage is still going strong today, and they have three children: Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12.

That’s not to say their partnership has been without challenges.

David’s alleged romance with Rebecca Loos has resurfaced as a result of his Netflix documentary, BECKHAM, which revisits the highs and lows of his personal life and football career.

Rebecca, a former TV personality, worked as David’s personal assistant, and her relationship with the sportsman was reported in the media in 2004.

She told Sky that Becks was a ‘wonderful lover’ and that they ‘couldn’t get their hands off each other’ at the time.

Meanwhile, David has always refuted the scandalous claims, calling them “ludicrous.”
