Vicky McClure wedded in style, when photographs of the celebrity sinking cans and donning sneakers in her wedding gown surfaced.
On Friday, the Line of Duty star married long-term lover Jonathan Owen, six years after he proposed and a decade after they initially started dating.
While they elected to keep the wedding private until after the fact, with Vicky declaring their marriage through an Instagram post, photographs from the big day have began to emerge online – and it looks like an amazing sesh.
Vicky, 40, looked stunning in a white wedding gown with a trail, but she was determined to be able to dance the night away as well, so she paired the white gown with a pair of white Nike shoes.
The actress was photographed smiling broadly as she strolled across the floor in the shining white shoes, which were a near-perfect complement for the body-hugging gown with a loose trail.
She was also photographed becoming the light of the party while downing a can of Red Stripe beer while looking absolutely stunning in her gown and perfectly-styled hair.
Vicky was joined on the big day by her Line of Duty co-stars, including Martin Compston, who took the remarkable photo of the bride downing the drink.
Vicky is joined in a joyful group selfie by Martin, fellow Line Of Duty performer Adrian Dunbar, and series creator Jed Mercurio in another Instagram post – still clutching that can of Red Stripe.
In a really spectacular throwback, the Line of Duty reunion saw the cast don police helmets for another dazzling group photo.
There were plenty of other prominent figures on hand to assist Jonny and Vicky celebrate their big day, including Paddy McGuinness, who was seen looking ecstatic as he exited the venue at the end of the night.
While many people were unaware of Vicky and Jonny’s wedding until after the fact, it appears the news was first broadcast on Jonny’s DJ daughter Katie Owen’s late-night BBC Wales radio programme on Friday – since she had to leave the wedding early to get to work.
Vicky and Jonny originally met on-screen as a couple in the rock comedy Svengali, written by her now-husband.
They later became engaged on Christmas Day 2017, with the Line of Duty icon telling Nottingham Post: ‘We remained at home for the first time together on Christmas Eve so spent Christmas morning together.
He popped the question over a cup of tea – we moved onto the bubbles by 8.30am.’
Vicky shared the happy news of their nuptials on Instagram on Saturday morning, writing: ‘Tied up in Notts!!! Best. Day. Ever!!!!’
