After giving birth to a baby boy, Stassi Schroeder revealed the purpose behind his name.
The Vanderpump Rules star and husband Beau Clark welcomed their second child last week, revealing his birth on Instagram over the weekend.
Along with a series of adorable photos of the baby from her hospital bed, including the moment he was introduced to sister Hartford for the first time, the 35-year-old revealed the unusual name they had selected.
‘MESSER RHYS CLARK, born at 12:04 am on September 7th, 7 lbs 14 oz, 19.5 inches,’ she penned.
‘We love him so much already, send prayers Hartford doesn’t terrorize him.’
Her Bravo co-stars were among those rushing to share messages of congratulations, with Katie Maloney penning: ‘I’m so happy for y’all! I can’t wait to meet him!!!’

Lala Kent agreed: ‘Welcome to the world, sweet boy.’
Kristen Doute replied: ‘I knew he was going to be born on the 7th. Just like his big sissy. I can’t wait to meet him! Love you guys so much.’
While many questioned whether Stassi and Beau acquired their son’s name from A Court of Thorns and Roses, they revealed themselves to be ACOTAR aficionados.
In the midst of debate over the name and where they received their inspiration, the new mum turned to Instagram to clarify.
‘Messer Rhys Clark. “Messer” is an old (like during the renaissance type of old) Italian form of address which would be the equivalent of something like “signore,” “sir,” or “mister”,’ the former Sur server simply explained.
Stassi began dating casting agent Beau in 2017, and most of their courtship was shown on Vanderpump Rules.
Her spouse proposed on one knee in 2019, and the couple married in a simple ceremony the following year.
