Despite his protests that the tattoo life was not for him, Tommy Fury has finally had his first tattoo.
So, sort of.
The boxer, 24, has previously shown reluctance to be tattooed, despite the fact that his wife-to-be Molly-Mae Hague, also 24, is eager to get a tattoo of their newborn girl Bambi.
Asked during an Instagram Q&A earlier this year whether she would ever get a tattoo, Molly-Mae replied: ‘Omg, I’ve been really thinking about getting a little ‘B’ somewhere… but Tommy won’t do it with me because he doesn’t want one and I only want to do it together.’
Tommy appears to have changed his mind, as he revealed his first tattoo on social media.
The Love Islander’s ink is really the MyProtein logo, which is put on his back, shocking everyone.
As he spoke about getting inked, Tommy admitted on camera: ‘I will be honest with you, I never thought I would see myself in a tattoo parlour anytime soon.’
On his previous response to Molly-Mae’s matching tattoo suggestion, he added: ‘I shut it down pretty immediately. I was like, “Nah I am not getting a tattoo.” I just never thought I would get a tattoo.’
Tommy, on the other hand, has broken his pledge and had the black emblem engraved between his shoulder blades.
Tommy, on the other hand, does not believe Molly-Mae will be a fan.
‘I will get a few glasses of wine down before I tell her,’ he confessed. ‘We’ll see what she says.’
Tommy was glad that the tattoo wasn’t ‘terrible’ when it was presented to him in all its splendour.
‘I think my dad will approve, but I guess we will have to wait and see for that one,’ he said.
‘It is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It didn’t hurt that much.’
The comments section of the video was filled with flame emoji and stunned fans, as one wrote: ‘No way!!!😮’
However, not everyone believes Tommy’s ink is genuine.
‘No way is he tattooing with him leaning on his elbows!’, one person wrote.
‘Exactly, especially the way his shoulders are sitting as well’, another agreed.
The alleged tattoo appears before of Tommy’s next major bout.
After facing Jake Paul, he’ll face another YouTube titan, KSI, on his home soil in Manchester next month.
Of course, there’s been plenty of fighting talk already, with Tommy shocking one Good Morning Britain host by tongue-lashing KSI – actual name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji.
Tommy was interviewed by Kate Garraway on GMB and was shown a pre-recorded message that KSI had prepared ahead of their battle.
Responding with an aggressive message of his own, Tommy began: ‘Mark my words, and this is a message to KSI. Cut all of that other stuff out, cut all of the fancy talk and the stupid laughs out, and the bandanas and whatever you want to do – come October 14th, his life will be ruined.’
He continued: ‘All his singing, his podcasting, his business, it’ll all be finished, because mark my words – he’ll be leaving Manchester in an ambulance. I can quite clearly guarantee it.’
Kate, 56, was visibly shocked by Tommy’s words, exclaiming: ‘Crikey! I’m actually getting a little bit disturbed by all of this.’
‘I want to tell you all to calm down now and have a cup of tea! I don’t think I’m cut out for boxing – the chat,’ she joked.
Tommy and KSI will go head-to-head on October 14, with Tommy hoping to continue his winning streak against social media stars.
