After hanging out at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez couldn’t wait to rejoin.
Selena, who swore to ‘never become a meme again’ after the ceremony, was in attendance to witness long-time pal Taylor win a record-breaking awards.
The 33-year-old American singer and the 31-year-old Only Murders in the Building actress had been pals for 15 years, having met in 2008.
And it appears that the old pals didn’t miss a beat during their latest reunion, as they headed to a beachfront restaurant for supper and a few cheeky pictures.
Taylor grabs the camera and aims it back towards the couple in the two Instagram photographs, kissing Selena in one of them.
Naturally, it’s created quite a sensation, with Noah Schnapp among those congratulating the friendship of two of the world’s most known and accomplished women.
The Stranger Things star, 18, described the shot as “iconic,” before the official YouTube Instagram account stated that the selfies made their “whole day.”
And deservedly so, with ‘Taylena’ both putting on their finest smiles while dining together at an undisclosed location.
Another person commented on the adorable pictures, saying: ‘This pic just screamed the most successful, powerful and iconic woman duo to ever exist.’
Selena and Taylor met when they were both dating Jonas Brothers, Selena dating Nick and Taylor dating Joe (aka Mr. Perfectly Fine).
In an interview with teen newspaper Seventeen Magazine in 2009, the Come and Get It singer stated that she didn’t have an issue that Taylor couldn’t cure.
Taylor has also welcomed Selena on several of her globe tours, and the two have appeared together at countless events and award shows.
Unfortunately for Taylor, the $12,000 (£9,600) ring she was wearing shattered during the festivities, leaving her less bejewelled than when she arrived.
The massive stone that was the ring’s showpiece was absent from images of Taylor exhibiting her broken jewellery to security at the VMAs.
