Sylvester Stallone has still got some of the best biceps in Hollywood as he showed off his guns in a new social media post.

The Rocky actor made it clear that he finds it harder to motivate himself to get in the gym these days, but the 74-year-old actor still makes sure to keep his muscles in tip-top shape.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the star wrote: ‘Went to damn the gym today when I didn’t want to. But, Doing things when you do NOT want to , I found an extremely important key to success.

‘Plus, I have to get ready to start doing some old school ACTION!’

Naturally, his followers were quick to praise his efforts in the comment.

Indeed, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson couldn’t resist heaping some praise of his fellow muscle man as he wrote: ‘That PEAK tells A LOT of stories, brother ’

His teasing post about getting back to work comes after the star revealed he has started working on a Rocky prequel.

After six successful films following the boxer, it looks like the franchise could soon be returning with a 10-part series, exploring Rocky’s life before he stepped into the ring.

Stallone announced the exciting news in a statement shared on Instagram alongside a picture of his handwritten pitch.

‘This may be the strangest posting yet,’ he penned. ‘I started out this morning by writing a treatment for a Rocky prequel for streaming. Ideally 10 episodes for a few seasons to really get to the heart of the characters in their younger years.

‘Here is a small portion of how my creative writing process starts…Hope it happens.
