Stacey Solomon has made the claim that she did not realise she was pregnant for a considerable amount of time until she shared the good news with the rest of the world.
The news that the Loose Women star, who is 33 years old and married to Joe Swash, who is 40, is expecting her fifth kid was revealed to fans earlier this week. This will be her third child with Joe Swash.
Another bombshell was dropped by her on Friday, and that was the revelation that she is much farther along in her pregnancy than most people may realise, and that she is actually scheduled to give birth in about a month from now.
And now it appears that baby number five sneaked up on our Stace at the beginning, as she humorously compared her early baby bump to a hefty noon meal. This would make baby number five the fifth child in the family.
Having shared on Instagram that she and Joe ‘wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves’ after finding out they were going to be parents again, she added that it ‘didn’t leave us with very long left’.
Former Apprentice star Luisa Zissman replied to the post, which included a gorgeous pregnancy photoshoot, writing: ‘Omg how did you not know with a bump that big!!
‘I’ve got the fear – esp after a girl who works for me just dropped an 8lb baby not knowing she was pregnant – congrats.’
Former X Factor star Stacey replied: ‘I mean I know now, but a few months ago I looked like I’d had a big lunch every now and again.’
Putting two and two together, we may deduce that it was probably quite some time before the Solomon-Swashes learned that their family was going to grow by one more member once more.
Stacey is of course very excited to be adding to her blended family, which already consists of her eldest sons Zach, 14, and Leighton, 10, who are both the products of previous relationships, as well as Joe’s son Harry, 15, who is the product of an earlier relationship between Joe and his ex-fiancee Emma Sophocleous.
The pair, who got married in July of this year, are already parents to a son named Rex, who is three years old, as well as a daughter named Rose, who is one and was born in October of last year, on Stacey’s 32nd birthday.
Stacey has also joked about being pregnant on her wedding day just six months ago.
Replying to comments from some fans who picked up on the dates and presumed she was with child by the time she said ‘I do’, she wrote: ‘For those saying you knew when we got married, well you could have let us know Poirot.’
Since she shared her happy news with her devoted following on television, the well-liked actress has been inundated with messages of congratulations and support from her admirers.
She took to Instagram to express her gratitude to her legion of devoted followers, writing: “I just wanted to come on and say thank you so much, you’re honestly so nice and so sweet.” Actually, we didn’t find out until much later than you would normally, so by the time you would normally notify people, we are much farther along in the process.
‘So we are really nervous and it was a real surprise, but we’re so grateful and really excited for what’s to come.’
