Stacey Solomon has shared an update on her pregnancy, revealing she’s a lot ‘further along’ than fans might expect.
This week, the Loose Women presenter announced that she was pregnant and expecting her third child with husband Joe Swash to add to their family.
Stacey, 33, and Joe, 40, already have two children together, while the former has two sons from previous relationships and the latter also has another son that he shares with an ex-partner.
The couple have been inundated with messages of congratulations since making their happy and unexpected announcement, having welcomed their daughter Rose on October 4 last year, the same day as Stacey’s 32nd birthday.
In a new video message posted on her Instagram Story, Stacey expressed how grateful she felt for the ‘lovely messages’ she’s received.
‘I’ve been reading through them and your comments and everything – they’re just so nice,’ she said.
She apologised for being ‘so quiet’ on social media, explaining that she and Joe are trying to spend as much time with their kids as possible during the break between Christmas and New Year’s while they both have some time off work.
‘Me and Joe have got a couple of days off for Christmas, New Year break, so we’re just trying to give them loads of attention,’ she shared.
Stacey then revealed that she may be preparing to give birth sooner than fans may have predicted.
‘I just wanted to come on and say thank you so much, you’re honestly so lovely and so kind. We actually found out way later than you would usually, so we’re a lot further along than when you would usually tell people,’ she admitted.
‘So we are really nervous and it was a real surprise, but we’re so grateful and really excited for what’s to come.’
It’s fairly common for people to announce pregnancies after they’re 12 weeks along, following an ultrasound scan.
While Stacey didn’t shed further light on her due date, she and Joe are over the moon to be welcoming a new baby to their Pickle Cottage.
The former X Factor singer revealed she was pregnant by sharing a video on social media of the moment she presented her positive pregnancy test to her husband.
‘This is the best news bubba,’ he could be heard saying as they embraced off camera.
