Rylan Clark has released a funny video of his mother Linda in the hospital following a ‘nightmare’ holiday tumble.
On Monday morning, the former Big Brother star tweeted a video showing 71-year-old Linda sitting in a wheelchair with a cast on one arm and one of her legs dangling over the footrest on a ward.
Her 34-year-old son couldn’t resist a cheeky remark at her expense when she was spotted making her way up in a lift while laughing and smiling at the camera.
The video was appropriately soundtracked by You Raise Me Up, and Rylan joked in the comment, ‘Early morning hospital bants.’
The post was flooded with messages of love and support for Linda, who appears alongside her son on Celebrity Gogglebox, as one person commented: ‘Sending love to you and your wonderful Mum 💖’
‘Hope your mum heels quickly xxxx,’ a second person added, while someone else wrote: ‘Hopefully she will get her independence back soon ❤️’
Another follower apparently like Rylan’s post since they laughed: ‘You are wicked, the video/music combo made me chuckle.’
Linda continues to recuperate after falling and breaking her arm and leg during her first overseas holiday in ten years, according to the former X Factor contestant.
On September 1, the BBC Radio 2 presenter had revealed on social media that he would skip his show saying ‘my priority at the moment is my mum’ after her ‘bad fall’.
Almost two weeks later, he begged followers for assistance and guidance since she was unable to secure an appointment for surgery due to the NHS being ‘on its knees,’ which worried the family given the ‘time sensitive’ nature of her requiring her staples out.
‘For any confusion, Mum is in an arm cast and has a leg brace on, she has broken her arm and leg in Spain,’ he said in another statement on September 11.
‘Spanish surgeon said she needs staples out this week (time sensitive) and I need to pick it up the second we get back…
‘She has to have nurses and care anyway because of her other serious illness which I’ve arranged.’
