Rylan Clark provided an update on his mother’s health while they were on vacation together.
Last week, the TV host, 34, claimed he was ‘praying’ for his mother, Linda, 71, who was hospitalised after a fall.
They were on their first vacation together in ‘a good few years’ when Linda took a ‘pretty terrible fall’ and was transported to the hospital.
A few days later, Rylan shared a photo of herself smiling in the hospital, despite the fact that her left leg was strapped and her right arm was in a sling.
Now he’s begun the process of bringing her home to recover, but has revealed it’s cost him ‘an arm and a leg to do so’.
Rylan captioned an Instagram snap of a charter jet on a runway, ‘She might have broken an arm and a leg, but she’s cost me an arm and a leg!’
‘LINDAS COMING HOME!!
‘Massive thank you to the amazing team and surgeons at @helicopterossanitarios. Thanks for looking after my mum x.’
The presenter also uploaded a photo of his mother being carried aboard the plane on a stretcher by a paramedic, as well as another of Linda settling down for her travel home once on board.
Despite the fact that her arm was still bandaged, Linda appeared to be laughing off the attention being paid to her, shaking her head at the camera with her hand lifted while her son shot the photos.
Rylan initially shared the news on social media, explaining: ‘So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she’s had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have surgery out here.
‘She’s not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated.
‘Praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Will update you on mummy Linda as and when I can x.’
Assuring fans that Linda was still cracking jokes, he claimed she double-checked to make sure she was still receiving a “new driveway.”
‘She’s deffo come round,’ he added.
Linda frequently appears on Rylan’s Celebrity Gogglebox radio show.
Rylan went back home with his mother following his divorce from his spouse of six years, Dan Neal, who cared after him while he fought with melancholy.
