Robbie Williams has begged with people to be as friendly to one another as possible.
The former Take That member, 49, who went on to have a successful solo career, is notorious for posting anything he wants on his social media platforms.
(From horoscopes one day to a tale about his unintentionally soiling his trousers on stage the next.)
Robbie has now resorted to Instagram to broadcast a strange but charming video of himself begging people to’stop being c***s.’
The film is situated in beautiful countryside, with the sun setting over the tops of trees and green grass growing all around – something that would not be out of place with the Teletubbies.
Robbie then appears, jumping around the field in a white vest and tweed flat cap, brandishing a placard with the explicit appeal. As he approaches the camera, he grins, holds his sign, and nods.
Robie explained in the post that he is aware that’some of you don’t like that term, so please swipe for a cleaner version.’
And in that cleaner version, Robbie approaches the camera in the very same way, holding the exact same sign, but this one reads: ‘Stop being c***s, please.’
The absolutely surreal scenario comes only hours after Robbie teased fans with a new song preview.
In a way, that is.
Rock DJ star Robbie videoed himself taking a stroll in the sunshine, topless and wearing sunglasses, singing to himself: ‘Middle-aged man, walking with his top off, like he’s in a crop top, middle-aged man.’
‘Middle-aged man, just a bit disconcerting, a middle-aged man walking or driving a van.’
The best part? It’s actually kind of catchy.
Whatever makes you happy, Robbie!
