Rhod Gilbert has announced that he will be returning to the road with a large tour schedule that will last well into 2025.
Rhod Gilbert And The Giant Grapefruit, the comedian, 54, will begin performing in January 2024 and will make his final joke in November of the following year.
He shared that he planned to complete 110 dates by the end of the run with his agent confirming: ‘It’s a show about navigating the dark bits and turning life’s giant grapefruits into something approaching lemonade’.
Ahead of his headliner, Rhod explained: ‘After the year I’ve had it’s wonderful to be alive and going back on the road.
‘I can’t wait to get back on stage and I’m ready to get way too personal about life’s recent ups and downs.
‘When life gives you lemons, you have to squeeze them ’til the comedy juice flows, so prepare for some dark but funny s***.’
The star’s agent also outlined: ‘This new live show sees Rhod back on stage doing what he does best.
‘Candid, hilarious and uplifting; it’s a show about navigating the dark bits and turning life’s giant grapefruits into something approaching lemonade.’
He explained where the fruit analogy came from and revealed: ‘Previously, Rhod was dealing with some pretty pungent life citrus, and an idiot called John.
‘Little did he know that things were about to turn even more sour… But Rhod’s not bitter; he’s bouncing back and feeling remarkably zesty.
‘Hilariously dark, passionate and way too personal, this is classic Gilbert, squeezing every last drop out of life’s latest curveballs… with a little help from an old adversary.’

The Book of John tour, which began in 2019 and continued through 2023, was disrupted by pandemic-related delays.
Forced to postpone dates in order to comply with government laws at the time, the celebrity was also dealt a heartbreaking blow when he was diagnosed with cancer.

The comedian’s next run of shows will take place across the United Kingdom in a variety of locations and venues.
Starting at the beginning of next year, the highly anticipated return of Rhod will offer 110 dates across a fixture that spans over 12 months.

Tickets for Rhod’s tour dates will be available to purchase from Wednesday, September 27 on Ticketmaster.
Fans can also get their hands on tickets for the comedy shows at each individual venue’s own box office.
