Rebekah Vardy has made her feelings on Coleen Rooney and her marriage to Wayne Rooney quite plain.
The Wagatha Christie trial captivated the nation last summer, when Coleen’s months-long sting operation culminated in a viral social media post in which she accused Rebekah of leaking allegations about her to the press.
Rebekah, 41, strongly rejected the allegations and went on to sue Coleen, 37, for libel.
Jamie Vardy’s wife then brought Coleen to the High Court for libel one year ago, and a judge found the latter’s tweet to be “basically truthful.”
As a consequence, while continuing to assert she was not at fault, Rebekah was forced to pay up to £1.5 million towards Coleen’s legal bills.
While you may think that the verdict would be the end of the story, Coleen has now given a candid interview to British Vogue.

Rebekah, a former acquaintance, turned to Instagram to criticise Coleen and her friendship with the player.
Following Coleen’s interview, Rebekah posted a bikini photo of herself online, posing on a family vacation to Portugal.
Rebekah responded to the comments by stating that she is not ‘jealous’ of Coleen.
When a follower suggested Rebekah envious of the fellow Wag, she hit back: ‘Jealous of what exactly! Spare me the pain seriously… I wouldn’t put up with my husband sleeping with hookers end of! No excuses.’
Rebekah questioned Coleen’s continued discussion of the entire affair in another comment.
She slammed: ‘What I don’t get why you would want to keep bringing it up. It’s boring now! The public doesn’t care and neither do I. She won that’s the end of it! Be happy move on… because I know I have’.
It didn’t stop there, as Rebekah proceeded to protest her innocence and defend herself when one user fired at her: ‘You were found guilty though by the top suits and you can’t really preach innocence now can you? I know you’d rather it go away but she still has a right to tell her side and her experience of this ordeal too and people want to listen.’
Rebekah penned back: ‘I’ve preached innocence from day one and that won’t change! And are you telling me they don’t get things wrong… because I have a very long list that they f***ed up! But it doesn’t suit the narrative! It’s fine I’m cool with being the bad guy! Maybe I’ll just start playing up to that now.’
Her comments follow Coleen’s admission in an interview that her marriage to Wayne was tested throughout the trial.
She said: ‘He was supportive, you know, but it took its toll. He kept saying all the way throughout it, “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.”
‘But there were certain moments where we did have disagreements. Not over the case, but he would get annoyed with me because I was quite short-tempered. You know, I didn’t have time for him.’
She added: ‘We’ve had our ups and downs. Obviously, everybody knows. It’s been hard to go through it in the public eye but there has always been love there. If the love is gone then, you know, it’s pointless. But if not, you’ve got something to work for.
‘It’s been a battle at times. I look at [any] situation we’re in and think, “Could we move forward from that? Is it worth moving forward from that?” I don’t just give up.’
The media personality also admitted: ‘There was a moment, in the autumn of 2021, when Wayne had said, “He felt like I wasn’t me anymore.”
Coleen was in tears towards the end, noting the sense of immense’relief’ at the trial’s conclusion.
‘When people say, “Oh, she’s only in the public eye because of Wayne,” I’m like, “Yeah I am”,’ Coleen added.
The author is next set to appear in a three-part Disney+ documentary.
Reflecting on filming the series, Coleen said it ‘brought up a lot of emotions.’
‘I felt like everyone else has spoken about it except me,’ she said. ‘And it’s my story to tell.’
The doc lands on Disney’s streaming service later this year.
