Piers Morgan was overjoyed to congratulate his youngest son Bertie on his graduation from Bristol University on Monday.
Piers, 58, shared a snapshot of himself standing next to Bertie in his graduation attire, and his smile said it all.
The former GMB star said that his kid has a first-class degree in politics and international affairs.
Taking to Twitter, Piers wrote: ‘Congrats to my youngest son @Bertie_Morgan11 on gaining a 1st class degree from Bristol University in Politics & International Relations.’
He added: ‘Great achievement by a great lad who worked incredibly hard. Very proud dad!’
After getting three A*s at A-level, Bertie announced years ago that he was considering an offer from Bristol University.
Piers congratulation Bertie at the time, tweeting in 2019: ‘Congrats No3 @Bertie_Morgan11 on your 3 A*s. The apple fell in a different orchard to your old man (I only got ABC). Proud of you son, due reward for tremendous work ethic. And thanks to @WellingtonUK for giving him a superb education.’
Bertie and his elder brothers, Spencer and Stanley, were born to the controversial commentator’s first wife, Marion Shalloe, and he has a daughter called Elise with his second wife, Celia Walden.
Piers’ proud tweet comes after he expressed his displeasure with Brexit on Twitter, calling the present scenario a “dismal disaster.”
‘Increasingly evident that Brexit’s been a terrible failure & hurt the country,’ the father-of-four tweeted in July, sharing a YouGov survey that said over 60% of Brits now thought Brexit has been more of a failure than a success.
‘I was happy to honour the referendum result despite voting Remain, and wanted it to work as Brexiters promised us it would, but it hasn’t.’
He went on to ask if it was ‘time for another vote? Or do we just carry on self-harming?’
Brexit is a contentious issue, both in the public and in politicians, with Plaid Cymru MP Ben Lake recently blaming it for’skyrocketing expenses’ in his area.
