Peter Andre revealed to Princess that he had cautioned her about spending time with her new partner and that she must now follow his three “tight” guidelines.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 50, stated he wanted to set a good example for his younger daughters by urging Princess, 16, to obey his new dating rules.
Princess, whom he shares with his ex Katie Price, 45, made her first boyfriend public in May, and her father has been battling to come to grips with her coming of age ever since.
Peter stated that he would not allow his eldest daughter to spend sleepovers with her lover at his house.
The celebrity, who is also a father to Junior, 18, Amelia, 9, and Theo, 6, revealed that he has three standards when it comes to his children’s dating lives.
Speaking to MailOnline, the former I’m A Celebrity campmate said they the couple must, ‘be downstairs, the doors are open and its daytime’.
He continued explaining his approach to teenage love and shared: ‘Any parenting tips or rules are only as good as they are in your house. My rules in my house are very straightforward. Everyone knows them, it’s not even a question.
‘With boyfriends or girlfriends, it’s downstairs, doors are open and it’s daytime. Down the line if there is a sleepover, one can sleep downstairs.
‘We have younger children too and you don’t want them seeing things. If the relationship ends and then you bring someone else in, it doesn’t look right and as far as the little kids are concerned it’s always a friend is over.
‘I have strict rules when it comes to that but like I said, downstairs, doors open and daytime.’
After establishing the ground rules, the actor went on to describe how close his mixed family had gotten since he and his wife Emily welcomed their children.
The group had just returned from a family break to Cyprus following which Peter told the publication: ‘I constructed the home in Cyprus after buying the property and it was always my goal with the kids and someday it will be theirs.
‘It’s funny, the kids have asked to go out and I’ve said to Junior “Look you can go out now you’re 18, but there will be rules”.
‘We’ve always done this thing where we do things together as a family. I can’t remember the last time me and Ems went on holiday and it was just us two are going for dinner.’
