Junior Andre’s music career has only recently begun, but the young sensation appears to have already suffered a setback.
Junior, whose parents are Peter Andre and Katie Price, inked a deal with Columbia Records in August 2021, hoping to follow in his renowned father’s footsteps.
In June 2022, he released his debut song, Slide, which was positively appreciated at the time.
Junior’s debut shot up the iTunes list, and he received the complete support of his fans.
Despite this, the song only reached number 72 on the Official Charts.
Junior has reportedly been sacked by his record label owing to weak sales and streaming after signing his contract two years ago.
As reported by The Mirror, the wannabe pop star hasn’t made quite the splash he had hoped for.
A source told the publication: ‘Junior was so excited to be following in his dad’s footsteps and label bosses had hoped his music would resonate with a Gen Z audience, but sadly it wasn’t to be.
‘Following poor sales and streams, he has been released.’
Junior’s music career has taken a hit following a spate of great concerts this year.
He appeared at the Camp Bestival music event last month, and he joined Love Island‘s Antigoni Buxton as a support act for Hrvy at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in April.

‘They’re great kids, I’m so lucky,’ Peter continued. ‘Being teenagers, and they’re so respectful and they’re so nice and they’re humble. And if they are like that, I’ve got no worries.’

Since signing his first record contract, the adoring father has been Junior’s biggest fan, pronouncing himself a “proud pops” as his son entered the stage for his first performance.
He’s also hinted that Junior is working on an album.
Junior himself hinted on Instagram two weeks ago that a new single was on the way, even teasing the title.
‘I’m dropping a new track this summer 👀 watch this space 🎶 #onlyone’, he penned in a caption.
It remains to be seen if Junior will continue to work as an independent musician or find a new record label to sign him to.
