Olly Murs, 31, married 31-year-old bodybuilder Amelia Tank in a private wedding that included festival stages and fairground attractions.
On Sunday, July 16, the 39-year-old pop artist hosted a fun-filled event on Essex’s Osea Island, nicknamed ‘Murs fest’.
The wedding was announced on Instagram by Olly’s friend Mark Wright, who uploaded photos of Olly on his wedding day and wished him well.
It’s hardly surprising that the couple chose a day that reflects their sense of humour, given their lavish hen and stag dos.
For his lairy lads’ trip, Olly dressed up like player Jack Grealish, complete with a Manchester City jersey.
Amelia had a great time in Marbella with her friends, who all wore Olly Murs face masks for their party antics.
‘Celebrating this one. @ollymurs and @tankintraining wedding day. Love you both,’ the 36-year-old wrote on his story.
The TV star, who squashed rumours of a feud with The Voice judge, also posted a video of a plane trailing a banner which read: ‘Olly & Amelia Just Married.’
Amelia is a bodybuilder and fitness enthusiast, and the two met on social media in 2019.
They made their relationship public in 2020, and Olly proposed in December 2022 in an intimate cliff-top occasion.
Now that the big day is over, the pair can relax and enjoy their honeymoon, since Olly previously admitted to being a ‘groomzilla’ in the run-up to their wedding.
‘I’m a groomzilla. I never expected it, I thought I’d be the opposite. I’m like, “No, no, no. Get rid of that, change that, move that”, Olly told the Daily Mirror.
‘I didn’t know I cared so much about what the flowers look like but, honest to God, if I’m reincarnated, I’m coming back as a florist.’
Olly even admitted to irritating his wedding planner with his hands-on attitude, telling her he didn’t want “ugly chairs.”
He said: ‘There’s a lady helping us plan the wedding and I said to her, “I don’t want ugly chairs, you know those horrible school chairs that are horrendous”. She said, ‘Olly, I’ve been doing this for a long time…”‘
Olly was a self-confessed ‘commitment phobe’ before he met Amelia but the Heart Skips a Beat hitmaker quickly became convinced that Amelia was the perfect girl for him.
He told The Joe Wicks Podcast: ‘I did that typical man thing and went, “I can’t commit, I’m not ready”. I called it off, and then I rekindled the relationship on tour.
‘I’m so happy I did. When you know, you know.’
