Olly Murs admits ‘spats’ between him and fiancée over upcoming wedding are ‘the most we’ve ever argued’

Olly Murs has admitted that arranging his wedding to fiancée Amelia Tank has resulted in a few squabbles in their otherwise peaceful relationship.

The singer and Voice UK judge was careful not to reveal too many specifics about their wedding, joking that it was ‘top secret,’ but she did confirm a’summer wedding’.

But, he has technically already stated that it would be ‘around June or July’ following an overly exuberant TV appearance on the Graham Norton Show in December, when he said Amelia would ‘hate me for informing’ – despite the fact that he hadn’t informed his best man at the time!

Olly, 38, and Amelia, 30, announced their engagement in June after dating since 2019.

Now, the Troublemaker chart-topper has claimed that the stress of their forthcoming marriage has prompted them to argue “the most” in their four years together.

Initially joking that he was simply ‘paying for it’ when discussing how involved he was with the planning, Olly clarified: ‘I’m really enjoying it actually; more than I thought I was going to.

‘I didn’t realise how much goes into it. But it’s really fun. We’re having a really great time,’ he told Heart Breakfast hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.

However, he then said that he and Amelia had had ‘a few arguments, a few spats’.

‘The most we’ve ever had an argument in our relationship in four years,’ he added.

‘But it’s good. We just disagree on a couple of little bits, but it’s going to be a lovely day really special. And yesterday, I was picking my suit…’

The former X Factor judge then stated that it’really struck me yesterday’ that he was getting married, adding that he became ‘quite emotional’.

When Amanda warned him that the’scariest thing’ would be his introducing Amelia as his wife after their marriage, he answered graciously, ‘I’m looking forward to it.’

While discussing his track I Found Her, Olly previously said that Amelia thought it was ‘strange’ that he composed songs about her, further revealing that the majority of his Marry Me album was inspired by her.

‘It was weird playing it to her, actually, for the first time,’ he admitted.

‘I think she was a bit like… this is weird. You know? You’re playing a song that you’ve wrote about me today, but I’m like… yes! It’s nice.’
