Nikki Grahame’s friends have taken to social media to remember the star on what would have been her 39thbirthday.

Many of the Big Brother star’s closest pals posted tributes on her birthday, after Nikki died earlier this month following a 30-year battle with anorexia.

Pete Bennett, who Nikki had struck up a romance with in the house, posted a drawing of her by a fan, adding: ‘Beautiful portrait from a loving fan. Happy birthday Nikki xXx.’

Imogen Thomas shared a series of images of her and Nikki, adding: ‘Happy birthday my angel. I hope your having a ball sipping espresso martinis singing and dancing to eastside.

‘I feel blessed to have had you as a friend and I will cherish our memories. Thank you. May your spirit shine forever. Miss you and love u always Nik.’

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace also shared a photo of Nikki, adding: ‘Happy birthday baby girl, too precious and delicate for this cold harsh world, so much vibrance & kindness in one, I know your in a better place still having fun…

‘Death is only painful for those of us left, as we miss you and wish you was still here with us, I believe you, and all lost loved ones are in a better place, a kinder more peaceful place…

‘Until we meet again, I will miss you…. dearly. I love you darling.’

Fellow Big Brother star Glyn Wise also shared a photobooth snap of him with Nikki, adding: ‘You would have been 39 today! Taken too soon!

‘I’ve been listening to Kate Bush in your memory! I hope you are happy & at rest. I still laugh at this photo – when we went to the cinema in London and I wanted a photo by Van Gough from the booth. I carried this around with me all night! X Love you x.’

Nikki had been in hospital for three weeks but died less than 24 hours after she was discharged, before she was able to get treatment at a specialist eating disorder facility.

Her friends had raised over £70,000 towards her treatment after her anorexia worsened in lockdown and she had exhausted all options available on the NHS which did not work for her.
