In the midst of a disagreement between her father Nelson and her sacked wedding coordinators, Nicola Peltz Beckham will be questioned on tape.
Nelson Peltz, 81, has filed documents to sue Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, demanding the return of his $159,000 (£125,000) deposit, which he paid ahead of his daughter’s April wedding to Brooklyn Beckham, 24, last year.
Following Nelson’s activities, the two co-owners of Plan Design Events, based in Miami, retaliated by countersuing for breach of contract.
They claimed Nelson was a ‘bully,’ and stated that they had worked relentlessly to meet all of the family’s expectations in preparation for Nicola’s big day.
Despite her father’s participation, the 28-year-old actress has denied any role in the argument that resulted in the investor firing the two just eight days after they were recruited.
According to DailyMail.com, the Transformers: Age of Extinction star will be deposed for an on-camera grilling in one month, whether she feels she should be pulled into things, or not.
Nicola’s deposition will be the first of the Peltz family’s on-the-record responses after Nelson’s May date was postponed to see if both parties could reach an agreement through mediation.
Claudia, the businessman’s wife, and his renowned daughter are apparently named as third-party defendants.
Despite the fact that both of their attorneys attempted to have them removed from the’malicious and mean-spirited’ counterclaim, they remained on the list.
‘Aware that its claims are frivolous, PDE (Plan Design Events) shamefully attempts to falsely portray Nicola in an extremely negative light in order to entice the media and hopefully pressure Mr. Peltz to dismiss his well-founded claims against PDE,’ the publication claimed in a June filing.
‘While this was tailor-made for the tabloids, it could not be further from the truth.’
Nelson has accused the wedding plans of attempting a ‘good old-fashioned shakedown’ in his filings and claimed they were trying to bill the investor for work they were never formally contracted to carry out.
He went on to say that the 42 and 40-year-old were “not up to the task” of putting together the picture-perfect opulent ceremony he had planned for her Palm Beach wedding.
