Nick Jonas says it is a ‘blessing’ to have his daughter Malti home from the hospital.

The Jealous hitmaker, 29, has described his joy at having the five-month-old home at last, after she spent more than 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Nick and his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, 39, welcomed baby Malti via surrogate in January, announcing the news with a sweet post on Instagram.

Earlier this month, the Jonas Brother revealed that his youngest brother Frankie, 21, is Malti’s ‘favourite uncle by far’, joking this is because he was ‘the closest in age.’

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Nick also praised his two older brothers and fellow bandmates Joe, 32, and Kevin, 34, as ‘amazing’ to their niece.

At the beginning of May, Mother’s Day in the United States, the Camp Rock star and former Miss World shared the first photograph of them with their child and mused about their ‘rollercoaster’ journey to parenthood.

In a gorgeous post on Instagram featuring Nick, Priyanka and their daughter with her face covered with a heart emoji, they wrote that ‘every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith.’

‘And while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.’

abe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you,’ he wrote.

‘You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.’

The new parents began dating in May 2018, with Nick proposing to Priyanka in July of the same year.

They married in December 2018, having lavish Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

In January this year, they announced the arrival of their daughter, writing on Instagram: ‘We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate.

Malti Marie is the fourth girl to be born to Nick and his brothers, Kevin and Joe Jonas – meaning there could be a Jonas Cousins girl band on the cards in the future.

Kevin has daughters Valentina and Alena with his wife Danielle, while Joe and his wife Sophie Turner welcomed their daughter Willa in 2020.

Sophie is currently pregnant with the pair’s second child, with the couple confirming the news last week.
