Molly-Mae Hague has revealed her skin condition has returned out of nowhere and admits she has previously been ‘self-conscious’ about it.
The reality star, 22, is currently on holiday in Spain where she is enjoying time by the pool and beach as well as shooting a campaign for her tanning brand.
However the Mallorca getaway was marred somewhat as Molly-Mae shared that her skin condition had returned, revealing that last time she was too self-conscious to ever show her arms.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the former Love Island contestant shared a picture of her arm, which was covered with pale spots similar to sunspots.
A devastated Molly-Mae wrote: ‘I actually can’t believe I’ve woken up this morning to my pigmentation having come back.
‘It took me a whole year to get rid of this last time. I didn’t get my arms out because I was so self-conscious.’
Shocked, Molly continued that she ‘actually can’t believe’ the condition returned and said she had ‘no idea what could have caused it.’
The reality favourite added that she believed the term for her condition is ‘tinea versicolor,’ a common fungal infection of the skin.
Also known as pityriasis versicolor, the condition can be treated but can come back repeatedly seemingly for no reason.
Molly-Mae is often open with her fans on social media, particularly regarding her health.
Her skin condition revelation comes after Molly shared her cancer scare and endometriosis battle with her 6.3 million fans, in the hope it would raise awareness.
In September last year, Molly shared of herself from hospital after having a lump removed from her breast and finger.
She had previously had a mole removed from her leg which doctors had told her was a malignant melanoma, sending it off to the USA for more checks.
Incredibly, Molly’s decision to share her journey and encourage her followers to check their bodies led to her being thanked by a mother-of-one for helping to save her life.
Earlier this year Hannah Bolton, 31, revealed that she was inspired to check her breasts after seeing Molly’s post about finding a lump, which led to her discovering she had triple-negative breast cancer.
‘If she hadn’t shared that post I would never have checked my breasts to this very day,’ she said. ‘I never did, it never crossed my mind.’
Molly’s sun getaway comes as she and boyfriend Tommy Fury work on renovating their £4,000,000 mansion, which is about as stressful as it sounds.
The PrettyLittleThing creative director and professional boxer had their plans come crashing down on them – somewhat literally – this week as the ceiling began ‘coming down’ and leaking water.
Documenting the chaos today, a devastated Molly-Mae shared a clip of the leak from the ceiling, writing: ‘You know what I said about teething issues… just a minor one today, ceiling’s coming down.’
She posted another video in which she shared: ‘Honestly, I just heard a load of dripping noises, walked into our formal living room area and ceiling’s coming down.
‘The roof is saturated, the ceiling of the living room is saturated, the carpet is saturated. So, that’s nice.’
